WELL DONE SINGAPORE TABLE TENNIS GALS!!!

woohoo~~ i'm really damn proud of them and i believe many Singaporeans will too!! well though they lost to China..but hey we're having the world no. 1, 2 and 5 against our 6, 7, and 9..so its normal right? moreover, they'd put up a tough fight, probably not the very best of their potential but who wouldnt feel the stress in such a situation? so those who're blaming them for not clinching the gold medal for singapore, ask yourself again have they not done their best under such immense stress?? no matter wad, the gals rock!!! and 3 cheers for them!!!

HA singapore finally managed to get to the result chart with a 52nd position (all thanks to the ONLY silver!!) and its considerably good enough for a small country like us..

well before the olympics game was watching the national day rally by our PM..haha kinda like it coz he was trying to explain some of the policies decisions and rationales, and was making an effort to resolve the misunderstandings tt the singaporeans have with the government and wad they are doing..mm was quite shock to hear that singapore's fertility rate is only 1.29 out of the normal 2.1 level..and he kinda went one round to shoot Jack Neo about his new film "Money Not Enough 2", saying tt he is good with the film, effects and stuff lidat (showing singaporeans wad they wanted to see) but not at the aspect of policies with reference to the ERP issue...

He'd also brought up the issue about foreign talents, whereby singaporeans complain and claim that those FTs kinda snatch away our job opportunities and make many singaporeans jobless, lose out on their competitiveness blah blah blah...well singaporeans sure are full of complaints..ok not that its unreasonable on their part coz the adults do feel the pinch when foreign talents win an edge over them in the working society..but hey, haven singapore done enough to nurture every singaporean in terms of education and survival skills? i mean where else can you find such a good education system which caters to all types of learners and bring the best out of them? and if singaporeans know the kind of crisis they are facing with the influx of FTs, then they jolly well get themselves prepared for it! i mean if you know that the storm is coming, but you're refusing to bring an umbrella out just becoz it doesnt goes well with your party suit, then you'd better be prepared to go to the party drenched with no COMPLAINTS! its the same logic! i just dun understand why some singaporeans just cant get this right...lets look at things in a more realistic and down-to-earth point of view, this is a world of competition - winners move on and losers try again, its a rule as simple as that...if you're not getting ready to compete with the FTs, then its just too bad for you..coz you're the one who's gonna get hurt at the end of the day, not anyone else..

guess i'm equally pissed off as some other frens with how much singaporeans are complaining about without knowing how ignorant they are..so just an advice over here...before you even grumble, get your facts right..
